ISP Latency Test Script

If you live in the exurbs like I do, your Internet connectivity is likely not entirely reliable. Here is a very simple PowerShell script you can run to test and record the connectivity to and latency from your ISP (internet service provider). You can use it to collect data which can then be graphed and given to your ISP to corroborate any complaints you have about outages or latency.

The script just PINGs your home router, Google, and Cloudflare with very small amounts of data on a set interval for a specified duration.

Be sure to adjust the variables in the “user-customized variables” section as necessary.
